Jobe’s work is where the Value Creation Lens becomes practical.

Across energy engineering, technical execution, property strategy, business building, and capital structuring, his work focuses on solving real operating problems while building toward stronger assets, better-performing platforms, and long-term value creation.

The work is not limited to one discipline. It sits across three connected areas:

The Bank, Rosebank

Energy Systems

Mixed-Use Development | Energy Systems | Cogeneration Wet Services

The Bank in Rosebank was a high-demand mixed-use redevelopment, where an existing four-storey building was expanded vertically with an additional nine floors.

The project was not only about adding space. The expansion created new pressure on the building’s infrastructure: more electrical demand, more hot water demand, more operating intensity, and a need for systems that could support a hotel, restaurants, and other mixed-use facilities.

At the time, the available municipal electrical supply from City Power could not fully support the expanded building’s new demand. This required a more integrated approach to energy and hot water generation.

Jobe and the project team were involved in the wet services design associated with the cogeneration system, integrating a 415 kW Combined Heat and Power gas generator with an 86.91 kWp grid-tied solar photovoltaic system.

The project was originally explored as a trigeneration solution with heat recovery, but due to cost constraints, the final system was reduced to cogeneration while still supporting the building’s combined power and hot water requirements.

City Lodge Hotel Group

Energy Systems

Solar PV Rollout | Multi-Site Installation | Energy Optimisation Smart Metering | Ongoing Maintenance

The City Lodge Hotel Group project involved the first-phase installation of approximately 1.2 MWp of solar photovoltaic systems across multiple hotel sites.

Because the rollout was delivered across active hotel environments, the work required careful coordination between multiple concurrent installation teams, site representatives, contractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders. Each site had to be managed around guest activity, hotel operations, safety requirements, access limitations, and programme deadlines.

The solar PV systems were designed and installed with attention to each site’s roof conditions, available space, energy-use profile, panel tilt, orientation, and layout to improve generation performance and support optimal energy use.

The work also included the installation of energy check meters to monitor consumption, verify municipal billing, and give the client better visibility over actual site performance.

The sites remain under ongoing maintenance, supporting system reliability, performance monitoring, fault response, and long-term energy asset care.

Key focus:
Coordinating a multi-site, multi-team solar PV rollout across live hotel environments while optimising generation performance, improving billing visibility, and maintaining long-term system reliability.

Property Development

Property & Asset Strategy

Multi-lets | Value-add improvement | Urban regeneration Sustainable asset repositioning

Jobe’s approach to property development is shaped by his background in energy, infrastructure, construction, and operations. He sees buildings not only as real estate, but as living and operating environments shaped by how they are powered, maintained, occupied, managed, financed, and experienced.

Together with his partners, he owns and manages a small portfolio of multi-let properties comprising approximately 20 apartments. The focus is on acquiring and improving existing buildings with the potential to generate income, operate more efficiently, and grow in long-term value.

His development approach is informed by a simple view: an asset’s value is not created by location and square metres alone. It is shaped by energy mix, energy costs, tenant mix, design quality, building condition, management discipline, sustainability, outdoor spaces, and the capital structure behind it.

This is where his interest in value-add property, multi-lets, mixed-use buildings, urban regeneration, solar energy, efficient water and energy use, gardening, tenant experience, and income-producing assets connects naturally with his energy and construction background.

The next stage of his strategy is focused on larger value-add and urban regeneration opportunities — acquiring underperforming or underutilised buildings and repositioning them into stronger mixed-use, income-producing assets.

Key focus:
Developing and repositioning assets that operate better, serve people better, and create long-term value
